Common Ground Gallery
Opening Reception and Artist Talk: Friday, December 1, 7 – 9 PM
Sarah Hardesty uses the idea of ‘time-binding’ states as a contextual platform for experiencing her site-specific installation. Through space, color, line, time marking systems, and repetition, she explores the distinctively human attribute of preserving memories and records of experiences for the use of subsequent generations.
About the artist: Sarah Hardesty has been awarded residencies at the MacDowell Colony, the Wassaic Project, the Carriage House at Islip Art Museum, Santa Fe Art Institute and Vermont Studio Center.
