Celebrate the gift of art with Baltimore Clayworks’ annual Winterfest exhibition and Holiday Shop. Our galleries will be filled with unique, hand-made items by regional and national ceramic artists. The Winterfest exhibition and Holiday Shop opened on November 16th, and will be on display through December 23. Baltimore Clayworks is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Stay tuned for more information about our extended Holiday hours during December. We will also have a “Party for No Reason” on Saturday, December 14 from 6–9 p.m., which will include Shop and Exhibition discounts for “Friends of Clayworks” members. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. Shop at Baltimore Clayworks and perfect the art of giving!

Our Main Gallery will host our annual Winterfest exhibition featuring an array of work by amazing nationally recognized artists. Our other 3 galleries will host our annual Holiday Shop, which will include a large selection of work by our wonderful current retail Shop artists and members of the Clayworks community. Jones Falls at Holliday + Saratoga Streets

The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar ushers in the festive season with items worthy of stovetops, tabletops and holiday stockings. Visit Maryland’s largest producers-only market during one of its busiest shopping days, Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 7am12pm. The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar is located underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday and Saratoga streets and remains open Sundays from 7am–12pm through December 22, 2019.

Local farmers offer an assortment of hearty vegetables, fruits, high quality meats and poultry, and herbs to complement any Thanksgiving meal. Shoppers can stop by Albright Farms, Pahl’s Farm, Richfield Farm, Migrash Farms, Reid’s Orchard, and Woerner’s Orchards for ingredients or the main dish. The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar also features distillers, brewers and vineyards. Delicious baked goods will be available for your convenience from the likes of La Bohemia Bakery, Uptown Bakers, as well as gluten-free vendor Treats for Eats.

Top off a visit with beautifully created gifts for family, friends or self. Local artists and makers offer handmade items including clothing and accessories, pottery, soaps, souvenirs and original works of art. As the holiday season progresses, decorative greenery, wreaths and Christmas trees will be available.

On Sunday, December 1, 2019, the Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar hosts a “Holiday Art Expo” as its last First Sunday theme of the season. During the “Holiday Art Expo,” a large number of local artisans will be present selling their items. Shoppers can also get their gifts wrapped at a special holiday gift wrapping station. First Sundays are made possible by presenting sponsor Health for Life Dispensary.

Up to twenty artists will open their Hampden studios to the public from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 in celebration of Small Business Saturday. The Shop Small Art Crawl provides an opportunity for arts and crafts lovers, serious collectors and holiday shoppers to enjoy and purchase original art where it is created — in the beautiful and historic studios of Mill Centre, a former sailcloth factory located near the Jones Falls at the intersection of Darby Street and Mill Road, just six blocks south of “The Avenue” (36th Street) in Hampden. Featured artists will be displaying and selling metal works, encaustic, oil and watercolor paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, miniatures, original fiber art and more, all under one roof. Free parking will be available (Mill Road parking lot; main entrance at Darby and Mil). Mill Centre Artists are small business owners and members of the Hampden Village Merchants Association.

This is the perfect place to get everyone on your gift list uniquely designed and crafted items. Inside the “Tea Room,” visitors can enjoy tea, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, scones, cheese and an assortment of pastries and desserts. The bazaar is free to attend, tea tickets are $35. OUT OF HAND will be back for its 28th consecutive Baltimore holiday craft show. OOH is the longest running juried craft show in a town known for its vibrant artist community. This carefully curated show highlights the artwork and craft work of established and emerging local artists. Created by Anita Klein and a group of fellow artists, this show grew from a small gathering to an event anticipated by a large and loyal following.
OUT OF HAND 2019 will feature high quality, affordable and handmade items including jewelry, wearables, accessories, and home decor.
OUT OF HAND 2019 is produced by Anita Klein and Randi Tannenbaum. Anita will be showing her wearable art and cloth sculptures. Randi @randitannenbaum will be there with her signature vintage license plate buckles and jewelry.

This will be the second year at the beautiful Cross Keys Village location. Visitors will be treated to a beautiful, spacious venue on the second floor of the Delta Hotel, with free and easy parking and nearby dining options. We look forward to seeing you there!
