Blue Sky Gallery and Sitka Center for Art and Ecology are pleased to announce a 2–4 week residency for a self-identified emerging or mid-career photographer. The residency is available only to Blue Sky Gallery photographers who have been juried into the Drawers program or have been an exhibitor at the gallery.
The residency will take place on the Sitka Center campus in Otis, OR, in the period of February 26–March 31, 2020. Residency includes accommodation in a studio apartment, access to a private separate studio space, and a $250 stipend from the Kinsman Foundation. Please note that there is no darkroom facility at Sitka Center. Residents will also have access to wireless internet, the Center’s library, other artists and ecologists in residence, and to the stunning natural beauty of the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area.
Applicants may identify a particular project on which they intend to focus during the residency, but this is not required.
