FORGOTTEN

The Forgotten, people, places and belongings that once mattered, that have been left behind. Things once being of importance to humans …personal items, homes, special places, letters, etc.  Anything that has been left behind or replaced. Any object, being, place or property that once had the importance to another.

Our juror for Forgotten is Jeff Rich. Jeff Rich’s work focuses on water issues ranging from recreation and sustainability to exploitation and abuse. He explores these subjects by using long-term photographic documentations of very specific regions of the United States. Jeff received his MFA in photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. Jeff’s project “Watershed: A Survey of The French Broad River” was awarded the 2010 Critical Mass Book Award, and was published as a monograph in 2012.

35-40 Selected images will hang in the SE Center’s main gallery space for approximately one month with the opportunity to be invited for a solo show at a later date. Openings are timed to coincide with Greenville, South Carolina’s First Fridays, a celebration of art, food, and music.

The opening will coincide with Jeff Rich’s Watershed Project exhibiting at the SE Center November & December.
