Animals
September 20– October 20, 2019
The varied aesthetic uses of animals has often been captured through visual art, both subjects of study themselves and as reflections of humanity. Site:Brooklyn wants to give artists an opportunity to show works, across subject matter, medium, form, that focus on the interplay between animals and art. You might focus on, but are by no means limited to, personal connections with animals, the use of animal materials in art, how animals represent social, political, and aesthetic ideas, and how artists use animals in imaginative or formally innovative ways.
