Spring 2019 Art Opportunities

Free Fall Baltimore

Applications Due: Sunday, June 30, 2019
Free Fall Baltimore features hundreds of free arts events at venues throughout Baltimore City. Arts and cultural organizations with operating budgets under $300,000 can apply to receive grants from $250 to $1,000 to produce free events. The annual citywide celebration is extended to Tuesday, October 1–Sunday, November 10, 2019, in conjunction with the Baltimore Book Festival and Light City.

 

Municipal Art Society of Baltimore City Artist Travel Prize

Applications Due: Wednesday, July 31, 2019

The Municipal Art Society of Baltimore City Artist Travel Prize is intended to provide funding for travel essential to an artist’s studio practice that the artist may not otherwise be able to afford. An artist or artist collaborators can apply to receive $6,000. The winner is determined by a jury consisting of Municipal Art Society of Baltimore board members.

 

School 33 Art Center’s Open Studio Tour
Applications Due: Sunday, June 30, 2019

School 33 Art Center’s Open Studio Tour brings together professional artists and the general public for an opportunity to visit the studios of artists in Baltimore, meet the artists, and view their artistic process and works of art. The annual citywide tour happens over two consecutive weekends on Saturday, October 12–Sunday, October 13 and Saturday, October 25–Sunday, October 26, 2019.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which serves as Baltimore City’s arts council, events center and film office. By providing funding and support to artists, arts programs and organizations across the city, and by producing large-scale events such as Artscape, Baltimore Book Festival and Light City, BOPA’s goal is to make Baltimore a more vibrant and creative city.
