This is a nation-wide call for visual art by Veteran artists and their family members to be on exhibit during the Austin Veteran Arts Festival (AVA Fest) that will run from October 18 – November 17, 2019. This city wide festival held in Austin, TX will include visual art, performance art, literary arts, music, health and wellness, culinary arts, and so much more in various venues across the city. We will emphasize alternative healing methods for veterans and their family members through art.

Artists are invited to submit up to 10 works of art to be considered for exhibition. This can be finished 2-D, 3-D, video, or installation work in any media ready for display, or it can be a proposal for a new work to be created specifically for the festival. We also have space for outdoor sculptures and murals. Artwork must be created by a veteran or a family member of a veteran to qualify. The entry fee is $25 for up to 10 entries.

If accepted, any artwork sold at the AVA Fest will be subject to a 25 percent commission. Artists juried into the exhibition spaces will be responsible for shipping artwork to AVA Fest. AVA Fest will pay for return shipping on all works not sold at the festival. Artists not selected for the gallery spaces will be invited to participate in the Art Walk. Exact dates for artwork delivery/return is based on each specific venue.
