Administered by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, state fellowship programs provide funding for individual artists residing in Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey to encourage and sustain these artists’ pursuit of artistic excellence. Through these three programs, more than 1,000 applications are received, supporting over $500,000 in awards annually.

Individual artists must apply following the process outlined in the guidelines for their home state. At the annual deadline for these programs a limited number of disciplines are accepted. All applications to these competitive programs are evaluated through a peer panel review process.

Questions regarding State Fellowships should be directed to Kimberly Steinle-Super, Program Officer, Fellowships & Visual Arts at [email protected].

State Fellowships are made possible through support from the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Maryland State Arts Council, and the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
