Call for Juried Craft Exhibition
For over 90 years, the Delaware Art Museum has been showcasing contemporary craft by artists working locally and throughout the region. The first juried Contemporary Crafts Show was formally established in 1958, and since then, fine examples have been selected by preeminent jurors in the field. Selected by Executive Director of the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts Paul Sacaridiz, the 2018 Juried Craft Exhibition will celebrate this long history and present arguably one of the most vital modes of artistic production today.
The Juried Craft Exhibition is open to artists ages 18 and over currently residing within 150 miles of the Delaware Art Museum.
Artists are invited to submit up to three works of contemporary craft created within the last ten years.
Submissions for the Exhibition will only be accepted though the Museum’s online portal beginning January 1, 2018. Complete submissions include up to three works of art, a current résumé, and an artist statement no longer than 150 words.
A non-refundable fee of $35 for Museum Members and $45 for all others entitles the artist to submit up to three works of art to the Exhibition. This fee assists with the application process and Exhibition realization.
