“I have known such a creature . . .” Charles Altamont Doyle
Creatures Real and Imagined explores the ways in which animals and creatures, both real and imagined have been a presence in the visual art as metaphors, objects of fantasy and fear, sources of emotional attachment and connection to the physical and non-physical realms.
Due to the popularity and success of this exhibition in 2016, we are bringing it back for another tour—showing the spectrum of ways in which creatures are conjured, immortalized and depicted in the minds of artists. Our mixed genre format and diverse jury panel create a genuine opportunity for all artists who enter to be invited for exhibition. As always, all medium are welcome!
