UNC Exhibiiton in Mariani Gallery at the University of Northern Colorado

Eligibility: Open to all photographers, both amateur and professional who are at least 18 years old. Images can be of any subject matter but photographers must use the Wet Plate Collodion process.
Juried by Denver artist and educator Quinn Jacobson
Since 2000, Jacobson’s area of expertise has been in historic photographic proecesses concentrating mostly on Wet Collodion. He has spent a substantial amount of time researching and writing about the history of photography with his interest in both theory and practice, or “concept and craft.”
Awards: Juror’s Selection $500; Director’s Selection $250
Entry Fee: $30 for three images
Venue: University of Northern Colorado, School of Art & Design, Mariani Gallery, 8th Avenue and 18th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80639.
The Mariani Gallery is located on the UNC campus. The gallery displays artwork by local, regional, national, and international artists. Exhibition space is secured with an alarm system and a gallery attendant is on site during open hours.
Juror Quinn Jacobson will be on the UNC campus for the closing ceremony and awards presentation. A gallery talk and workshops and/or demonstrations will also be held.
An exhibition catalog with a photo of every accepted entry and each artist’s statement will be produced. Each artist will receive a minimum of 10 copies for record.
Rules of Entry
- Fee: a $30 non-refundable entry fee entitles the artist to submit up to three images
- Artwork Digital Images: only one image per artwork maybe submitted. Digital images of artwork must be a non-altered representation of the actual works to be juried. UNC reserves the right to decline artwork if it does not closely resemble orignal digital image submitted
- Artwork Acceptance: Artist with accepted artwork will be notified by email starting December 12. Accepted artwork may not be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition. Detailed information regarding shipping or hand-delivering artwork will be included in the email notification
- Delivery & Pickup: the artist is responsible for shipping both ways and insurance on the work to and from UNC. UNC is responsible for insurance during the possession of the exhibition only.
