Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society-Houston (WAS-H) brings the excitement of water-based media to the greater Houston area with outstanding exhibitions, world-class instruction and dedicated community outreach.  WAS-H is a non-profit organization with over 500 members providing year-round opportunities for every level of painter in water based mediums. Artists and art lovers enjoy year round exhibits that change each month (openings the second Friday of each month, see website for details) and opportunities for classes, paint outs, and sales in the WAS-H Gallery in the heart of the Houston Museum District.

The 38th Annual International Exhibition, in conjunction with a special 5 day workshop with juror Eric Weigardt, offers artists an unprecedented opportunity to compete at a high level of international artistic talent and ability as well as the chance to view and exhibit work for sale in the WAS-H Gallery in the Houston Museum District for an entire month.
