Marquee Ball Fun Facts:
• Marquee Ball themes have included classics such as Ben-Hur, Viva Las Vegas, Million Dollar Mermaid, Greatest Show on Earth, Forbidden Planet, Goldfinger, Moulin Rouge, Back to the Future, Alice in Wonderland, Kiss me Deadly, and Road to Rio
• Fred Lazarus, former President of Maryland Institute College of Art, came to the Marquee Ball in scuba gear in 2006
• After the first Marquee Ball, the Creative Alliance staff found underwear in the building – proving that the party was a rip roaring success!

Exhibits featuring Rebecca Strzelec, Rebecca Marimutu, Rosa Leff, and Kelly Walker

Rebecca Marimutu’s "Portraits (Contact),"  Rebecca Strzelec’s "365 Grams," and Rosa Leff and Kelly Walker’s "A Fine Pairing"—at Goucher College, Baltimore Jewelry Center, and Creative Alliance, respectively—made me reflect on my relationship to myself, womanhood, and the women who shaped me.
