Paper Shapers at Silber Gallery, Goucher College
January 31 – March 4, 2012

Paper Shapers will be presented at Goucher College’s Silber Art Gallery in the Athenaeum from January 31 to March 4, 2012. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, can be viewed Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An artist’s closing reception will be held in the gallery on Friday, March 2, from 6 to 9 p.m., with an artist talk at 7 p.m.

In Paper Shapers, Jaime Bennati, Joe Cypressi, Elizabeth Dove, Scott Hazard, Jason Hughes, Leslie Shellow, and Renee van der Stelt, highlight the many ways paper can be manipulated. Whether by folding, cutting, rolling, piercing, layering, weaving, or molding, these seven artists use paper as their primary artistic medium, but show us much more than sheets, pieces, or scraps.
