Stevenson University Presents “Particles All,” New Works by Artist Peggy Fox, Through December 20

On Wednesday, October 19, 2011, Stevenson University will host a reception for “Particles All,” an exhibition of new silver gelatin prints, mixed media, and photographs, by Baltimore-based artist Peggy Fox, 6-8 p.m. in the St. Paul Companies Pavilion, Greenspring campus. An Art Talk on the exhibition will take place Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 4 p.m. The events are free and open to the community.

Fox’s “Particles All,” running through December 20, echoes poetry and myth and merges narrative, surrealism, and abstraction. Fox sheds a new light on looking at photography and photography-related image making and its evolution. The exhibition examines visually that which can only be explained with mathematics or poetry, with her images coming from the thought of dancing particles in all their differences.

The St. Paul Companies Pavilion is open to the public Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m.

For more information or to receive Art Effects, Stevenson’s biannual calendar of arts and cultural events, contact Diane DiSalvo, Director of Cultural Programs, at 443-334-2163, or via e-mail: [email protected].
