“The Nature of Things” is Ruppert’s fourth solo exhibition at C. Grimaldis Gallery. It will display the depth of Ruppert’s extended artistic investigations, experiments and philosophies. The cross-disciplinary artist will exhibit photographs, castings, chain-link sculptures, video projections and rapid prototype sculptures that are centered around the observation and inclusion of natural phenomena resulting in process-centric work. “The Nature of Things” blurs the worlds of natural and constructed through industrial materials masquerading as evidence of natural occurrences. The debut of the artist’s latest sculptures featuring a new metal mesh and new video projections will re-contextualize the artist’s oeuvre, allowing long time fans and newcomers alike to gain an understanding of John Ruppert’s complete vision. Additionally, works on view at the artist’s studio will broaden the scope of “The Nature of
Things” by exhibiting Ruppert’s iconic sculptures from throughout his career at the location of their creation.
