Featuring Live, Local Music and a Dance Performance

On May 12th, 2011, Skylofts Gallery opens a new exhibition, Launch Pad, initiated by eleven emerging artists from Towson University. On the heels of their graduation, this exhibition seeks to introduce their work to the Baltimore art community.  

The opening reception will be held on May 12 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m., offering a dance performance, live music from the local band Más o Menos and other musical guest, and refreshments. The exhibition will run from May 9th through May 29th, open to the public Monday thru Friday 11 a.m. till 6 p.m. and Saturdays by Appointment.

Presenting artists April Bliss, Shihsuan Cheng, Jennifer Gallia, Claire Girodie, Melanie Hagan, Jane Jun, Joanna King , Kristi Miller, Hanna M. Owens, David Simmons and Pat Turner will show their latest works, including paintings, drawings, prints, collages, installations and sculptures. Work will be available to purchase and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Japan relief effort via Shelterbox, http://shelterbox.org/ .
