Readsboro: paintings by Regina Tumasella
September 9th 2010 – October 23rd 2010
Regina was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York. After studying painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Regina traveled to Ecuador to study with artists for 3 months. In Regina’s current work she is mapping her perceptions of specific places through the mingling of color in layers of paint. As she continuously evolves her fingerprint on the work, she is connected to and inspired by the vast, rapidly changing world. Regina’s work considers the mood and hue that’s left on the mind after encountering place.
The opening is September 9th at 7pm w/ music by Music from Erik Spangler, Jason Sloan (guitar, electronics), Matt Frazao (guitar), Susan Alcorn (pedal steel guitar), and John Dierker (clarinet, bass clarinet).
